On Friday September 24th, 2010, three young engineers received the Diploma of Electronics Engineer from the Francisco Jose de Caldas Distrital University, in Bogota, who made a "PROTOTYPE OF COMMUNICATION COMPUTER FOR MOBILE GEOREFERENCING LAND SURFACE ELDORADO AIRPORT".
FABIO ANDRES MOLINA QUINTERO, LIBARDO ANDRÉS MONTOYA GÓMEZ, and JOFRE ANCIZAR MANCHOLA MARTINEZ, are in the picture with the professor ROBERTO FERRO ESCOBAR, Head of the program of electronics engineering.
In the other pictures it can be seen some aspects of the project:
The development board. the test conducted in facilities close to the airport. The On-line display of geo-referencing.
"For the development of the computer-based communication prototype for mobiles into the surface of El Dorado airport of Bogota, it was necessary to study a wide range of possibilities of communication platforms such as Global System for Mobile network (GSM, Global System for Mobile), radio frequency devices, microwaves, ZigBee, Wi-fi, ask, GMSK, radio links, and other modalities” said Libado one of the aoutors. “It is also necessary to study Global Positioning System (GPS) and geo-referencing” said Jofre and Fabio explained that “the georeferencing is defined as the process which locates the position of a place or object on the surface, using GPS”. Professor German Cabuya was the conductor of the project between January, 2009 and September 2010.
